The Tropical Zone, the landscape transposed with palm trees and exotic plants one of my favorite zones. I have noticed, over the years when pool owners get tired of the Z3 environment they want more. Some pool owners transform their landscape into overwhelming tropical gardens. Do not let these photos above fool you, these Z4 pools are all in an infancy state. If your pool in a Z4 the debris factor will increase. You can now add Z1+Z2+Z3+Z4 = Debris Intensification. You will find much more debris in your pool, which will require more maintenance.

As pool owners transfer a pool into the Z4 environment, the DF will change again as we learned in Rm 102. Let us introduce a bit more of outdoor debris, Tropical. We are now dealing with sand, grass, leaves and bigger leaves. A leaf from a palm tree could be 1000 times bigger than one leaf. This larger debris can clogs skimmer throats (skimmer intake) and main drains completely. If your pool is built correctly, you have "Equalizers" built in your skimmers if not you are in trouble and everything will shutdown. Pools without equalizers are very difficult to control. This will instantly cause pumps to suck air and loose prime. Once the pool pump looses the prime, suction lines fill with air. This will cause pump damage, pool cleaner pump burnout, chlorination and filtration system shutdown. Swimming Pools in the Z4 environment also have to deal with the "Weather", sunlight, wind, rain, sleet, snow, floods, 12 Months and 4 Seasons. Z4 pools will also encounter chemical, filtration fluctuation and frequent emptying of baskets and removing many leaves and debris out of the pool. The "Stages" will also fluctuate. Lets label them as Z4S1. If you want a magnificently clean pool you could label them like this Z4S1-DF= 0 , Now that is Clean! A swimming pool in a Z4 has a 60% chance dropping into a Stage 6= Tint Green Water, during weather intensity and/or season change. Proper weekly maintenance is necessary for all swimming pools. Note: Manufacturers do not inform pool owners, service professionals, pool builders, wholesale outlets or retail outlets about pool filters, pool chemicals, pool cleaners, telescopic poles, nets, brushes, vacuum hoses, etc. work best in Z4
