Zone 3 - The Average Zone. These trees shown in the photos above are set back far enough that the average amount of debris will accumulate. This is a common zone. Flowers, shrubs, small gardens around pools are normal. In truth, it all depends on which way the wind blows. You could have one annoying tree or it could be your neighbors. If your pool is in a Z3, the debris factor will increase. You can now add Z1+Z2+Z3 = Debris Intensification. You will find this type of debris in your pool.

As we shift into a Z3 the Debris Factors= DF will change again as we learned in Rm 102. Let us introduce a bit more of outdoor debris lets add an Average Tree. We are now dealing with sand, grass and leaves. The hidden truth, a leaf could be 200 times larger than a blade of grass. Grass and leaves can clog skimmers and pump baskets which can cause pump damage, pool cleaners to clog, pool cleaner pump burnout, chlorination and filtration fluctuation and filter system shutdown. Swimming Pools in the Z3 environment also have to deal with the "Weather", sunlight, wind, rain, sleet, snow, floods, 12 Months and 4 Seasons. Z3 pools will also encounter chemical, filtration fluctuation and frequent emptying of baskets, removing leaves and debris out of the pool. The "Stages", will also fluctuate. Lets label these pools as Z3S1. If you want a magnificently clean pool, you could label them like this Z3S1-DF= 0, Now that is Clean! A swimming pool in a Z3 has a 50% chance dropping into a Stage 6= Tint Green Water, during weather intensity and/or season change. Proper weekly maintenance is necessary for all swimming pools. Note: Manufacturers do not inform pool owners, service professionals, pool builders, wholesale outlets or retail outlets about pool filters, pool chemicals, pool cleaners, telescopic poles, nets, brushes, vacuum hoses, etc. work best in Z3
